I am trying orange oil solution and diatomaceous earth . Any thoughts?

Those both sound like good ideas. Also, turn your pile frequently (and carefully!); I don't think they'll appreciate being disturbed so this might encourage them to go elsewhere.

Normally, you don't really have to care if your pile heats up much because it'll all eventually decompose, anyway. But if you've got a problem like fire ants, you might see if you can get the pile to run hotter. Try to keep a 3 to 1 ratio of carbon (brown stuff) to nitrogen (green stuff and/or manure).

Make your compost pile hotter and use dry or liquid Molasses, the fire ants just hate Molasses. Also it feeds the microbes in the compost pile..Good Luck.....
