I have a small raised flower bed that faces north and is right next to my house. The problem is it gets morning shade and full afternoon sun. I have had very little success in finding plants that will do well in this environment. Any suggestions?

Hi Betty, This does sound like a hard problem to solve....Canna's would grow there, Plume poppy, Chinese Ground Orchid, Pepper plants (bell, sweet banana's etc.)If up around the house is some what shady in the afternoon....Green leaf Cast Iron plant would be great up around the brick and concrete......Dayliles would work....It is a hard problem you have, I have alot of shade and would love a little more sun sometimes.....Almost all of the plants plus a bunch more will be on sale June 15th at our garden clubs plant sale....I think I would try and make and get some plants for not a lot of GREEN!!!!!! Hope this helps.
