I have recently purchased some land in branson Missouri. It is basically a forrest. i am going to start clearing this land during the Xmas holidays
if the weather will cooperate. What my question is what is the best way to get these stumps to start rottening faster? i was told to pour molasses on them or to use yeast on them. He wasn't real sure about it but he tought there was a article on the Dirt Doctor in regards to this but I couldn't find it using the search Routine. Any help that anyone can provide will be appreciated. Thanks

I found the stump removal information in a old Howard Garrett B.O.P. from the Fall of 1996.
Large Stumps- Cut flush with the ground, drill holes-larger,deeper, more the better. Fill holes with sugar, chemical fertilizer (or organic) or buttermilk. Moisten thoroughly and cover with a thick blanket of mulch such as shredded tree trimmings.
Small Stumps- Jam a tin can over the stump and into the ground. I must say I have never heard this solution ever used on any of Howards radio shows. I have heard Howard speak of the Large Stump removal and it is still the best way.
