Pollinate Tomatoes?

Arlington Organic Garden Club: Organic Gardening Info: Pollinate Tomatoes?

My cucumbers and tomatoes are planted in the same area. The cucumbers are being pollinated, but the tomatoes are not. Any ideas on how to remedy this? For now, many of my hard won tomato blossoms are just falling off without being pollinated...any advice would be appreciated!

There is a time of year that it just gets too HOT for tomatoes to set their fruit. In addition, tomatoes sometime get too set in their ways. Furthermore they become to happy with their surroundings, water, sun, fertilizer, etc. So you need to shake them up a little, take a tennis racket to them to get their attention. By stirring and waking up the tomato plants,it will force them to set fruit. I hope this helps, GOOD LUCK!!
