I just thought of all the people out there that can not buy Organic fertilizer. We in Texas live in the Mecca of Organics. So I thought that this might help some of you out that would like to go Organic.
1. Start a compost pile: Leaves, kitchen waste, grass clippings small limbs ETC.
2. Quit mowing and catching your grass clippings. Mulch them right back into your yard. If you do this all year long, it will equal one fertilization. You will have to mow a little more often, but it is so worth it.
3. Through out sugar or even better dry molasses (the same thing they feed cattle) This will speed up the Microbes in the soil.
4. If you can not get Organic fertilizer's use rabbit food or ground up corn meal. I could go on and on with my this works, but we do not have the time.
5. Don't forget Rome was not built in a day! Start out slowly and before you know it you are Organic.
6. No Pesticides or Chemical Fertilizers ever!!!
7. You can fertilize any time of year. Three times a year is fine. But do not forget we are building the SOIL...We are not fertilizing the grass or flowers. We are fertilizing the SOIL that is where all of the life is.. Good Luck...
