A group of interested "gourders" are forming the Arlington Gourd Patch. Meetings will be held the third Sunday of each month, except December. This club is dedicated to the "Whole Gourd", from how to grow gourds through crafting them. Instructional tecniques classes will be scheduled as the club expands, based on members' requests. A gourd-related program and/or demonstration will be presented at each meeting.
First meeting will be Sunday, September 19, 2004, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., at the Fielder House Museum, 1616 West Abram Street, Arlington, Texas. Refreshments will be provided.
Agenda for the first meeting includes membership information, Raffle items, Show-and-Tell area, and Make It and Take It project.
Visit the Children's Discovery Garden while at the Fielder Museum, tended in part by AOGC.
Join AOGC as we participate Saturday, September 25, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm as the Arlington Historical Society dedicates Knapp Heritage Park, including log cabins from early residents of Arlington. Several events are planned. There will be artisan demonstrations, festival vendors, food vendors, and live entertainment.

AOGC volunteers will be planting donated plants and using donated soil amendments this Saturday Aug 7th at the Broadway Plaza/Pecan Park Assisted Living Facility in Arlington. If you wish to participate, please call Susan at 817-274-8460 prior to Saturday. The work will start at 8am.
