Show Technology will present a House and Organic Gardening Show at the Arlington Convention Center Friday, January 7 through Sunday, January 9, 2005. This will be the largest organics and ecological show in the state. Howard Garrett, the Dirt Doctor, whose radio talk show "The Natural Way" is the most listened to gardening show in Texas, will give detailed seminars and slide presentations. He will also host a live WBAP broadcast on Saturday, January 8. Michael Payne, host of HGTV's "Designing for the Sexes," and Brian Santos, the Wall Wizard whose home improvement tips have aired on "Good Morning America," "Today" and HGTV's "Smart Solutions," will round out the show's roster.
In addition to celebrity appearances the show will offer an eco-friendly children's fun center with scrapbook and ceramics classes, a green gourmet cooking stage featuring local chefs and a model "Green Home." The Green Home is the product of Ferrier Builders of Fort Worth and was designed by GGO Architects, an award-winning green/sustainable architectural firm. The Ferrier house, comprised entirely of green components, will showcase energy efficient home products that have low environmental impacts.
The show is the only one of its kind in Texas and will feature hundreds of home and organic gardening displays. Show times are Friday 2 pm to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm. Tickets prices are $7.00 for adults 17 years of age or older. Admission is free for those 16 years of age and under.
