Wow! There sure are a lot of plant sales coming up in April. I just received notice of a sale at the Dallas Arboretum on April 23 (admission to the Arboretum required). Here are the details from the message:
2nd Annual Plant Sale benefiting the Dallas Arboretum's Trial Program Saturday, April 23rd 8am-5pm
Greetings!
The Dallas Arboretum Plant Trial Program tests thousands of new plants each year. The best plants for North Texas will be available for purchase at the 2nd Annual plant sale. You won't find unique plants like these that are adapted to North Texas anywhere else in Dallas, so come early! Dallas County Master Gardeners and Arboretum Horticulture staff will be on hand to answer your plant questions!
Freesia alba - Hardy Freesia
How about a hardy freesia for North Texas! This white flowered bulb blooms through out March with the most wonderfully scented flowers you've ever smelled! Goes dormant in early summer. Must have well drained soil and full sun. Plant it with dry land plants like agaves for the perfect combo (and we'll have them for sale too!)

Participants will be invited to the special members only preview sale right after the talk, where all the plants recommended can be purchased.
